CCMA's / Sedona / NYC and Nashville!
Hey Guys!!!

Wanted to write to you and tell you what I've been up to!

So, a while ago, I mentioned to you that I was heading out to do the Canadian Country Music Awards in Vancouver, BC in September! It was absolutely incredible. I can't speak enough of the amazing team that surrounded me during the whole show and everything leading up to the event. So many thanks to the people on my team, and a special thanks to the Wayfinder Mural Project for being such a great cause to support. Check out the video I attached below, that one of my best friends took for me while I was there - kinda candid! I love that kind of video, so I thought you might too.... Just look below. It's a beautiful song written by a great friend of mine, and hit songwriter, Randy Sharp!

It was such a great event, and also my first CCMA event. It was great to see so many of my friends in one spot at one time.

I'm heading out to New York City on the 16th to be a part of Maia Sharp's camp on her tour to support her new record, 'Echo'. I'll be there for about a week, and it's also going to be my first time ever there. I'll make sure I take some pictures, and post them for you guys to see!

On a personal note, I had a VERY incredible trip to Sedona, Arizona. Very inspirational, and a very beautiful place. As soon as I get my pictures organized, I'll post some of those for you. As well as a very insane video, and a video of the Hoover Dam, which was on my 'list' of things to do... my 'bucket list', if you will. It was pretty great. I'll get on here this weekend, and show everybody!

Thanks so much for keeping up with me, everyone. I'm heading to Nashville right after New York City, and can't wait to tell you of all the incredible things that are going on there. I promise you, my record and sound are coming along, and I'll finally have something out there in the world for you.

Check out some of the new demos in the music player!!!!

Cheers,

d

Live From LA!
Hey Guys!

I'm writing to you from Los Angeles! I've had such a busy ten days here - tons of meetings, tons of writing, tons of recording. I know everything's been kind of a whirlwind, and secretive - but I promise I'll fill you in as soon as I can on everything. There's a lot happening - and It's so exciting. I'm finally on the edge of being able to share new music with you all, and get the ball rolling!

Just to let you guys know, I was asked to be a part of the Post Awards Gala at this years CCMA awards - which, for those of you outside of Canada, it's the Canadian Country Music Awards. It's going to be such an amazing event, and I'd love it if you all would come and hang out with me while I'm there. Details are on the tour page!

In the meantime, check out the video below.
It was shot at Tom Lee's Music (a HUGE music store in Vancouver), when we were all messing around! The piano I'm playing is a new model of the Yamaha Avante Guard. I was so lucky to be one of the first people in Canada to play it. And let me tell you, it was AMAZING!

Cheers, everybody. BIG LOVE!
Can't wait to share more stories with you, since this new site will be an amazing platform to be able to do that.

Nashville/Los Angeles 2009!
Hey you awesome crazy people,

It's a beautiful Saturday morning (or afternoon to some) here in Nashville, Tennessee!
Wanted to just keep you in the loop, since I haven't in a while.
I'm sitting here watching the new James Otto video on GAC, and it inspired me to think about what my life has turned into - busy but great!!! Check out his video: These Are The Good Old Days... Now, I've turned on Wynonna's 'Sing' album.... you all need to go out and grab the record... it's breathtaking!!!!!

So, the last little while has been a little nuts! I've been between Nashville and LA making music... I've been writing with a bunch of hit writers for my record that I'm working on... I'm feeling so lucky and fortunate to have the opportunities to work and learn from these amazing writers, and seeing how they work, and use their lives to be creative. They have all been so gracious and welcoming, and we've come up with some AMAZING songs. I can't wait for you guys to hear them.

LA was an amazing trip too. I have an incredible team of people out there who've been in my corner, and we've been working on things out there to record, and place them in television and movies. I also got to hike up a mountain a few times, called Runyon Canyon. You can see the whole city from up there!!!! I only have a few pictures, because I'm really bad at remembering to take my camera with me... God bless the iPhone!

These last few days has been a little bit of a crazy time as well... it's been CRS (Country Radio Seminar) I've been able to see a lot of my friends who I haven't seen in a long time. There's so many people in town for it, and so many radio people. One of my great friends, Adam Gregory had a showcase last night... and was AMAZING. Then, we went over to Cadillac Ranch where a bunch of stars were playing. My beautiful (and amazingly talented friend) Amanda Wilkinson invited me to go with her, and she sang the roof off that building. She and Blake Shelton, Jamie O'Neal, Julianne Houghe, Chuck Wicks, Adam Gregory, Jimmy Wayne, and a ton of others...it was such a great night...and I will tell you that by the end of it all, I had a little too much rum and coke. HAHA

I've been so grateful to the people who have been there for me lately, and the ones that have
put them so far out in the world to help me succeed. I'm a constant believer that everyone always needs to work together to reach a common goal, and there are so many people in my life right now that have been helping me achieve that. That will never be forgotton or unnoticed... so, a HUGE heartfelt thank you to all of you ... you know who you are. You mean the world to me.

To everyone that hasn't heard from me, or has been trying to get in touch - I'm so sorry that I haven't gotten to get back to you. The tornado that has been my life lately has made my mind crazy and my physical life even crazier... so, I hope you can bear with me, and know that I love hearing from you!

Big Love,

d
